GEN-CON is coming,
and IWM has a surprise in store:
Are you ready for some serious gaming time? Iron Wind will be staffing the booth at GenCon and looking for a few choice people to purchase the limited pre-release run of "Sword and Dragon" blisters. This will be the first chance to get your hands on these miniatures. What a better place to do this than the largest gaming convention this side of the Mississippi? So stop by the booth and say "Hi" to Mike and the crew and while your at it grab a few mechs to surprise your opponent in that next Classic BattleTech event.
Also available this weekend is a limited quantity of the Leviathan II for Aerotech. This piece will be a website only item later this year but you can grab yours now and use it to dominate your opponent during events this weekend. Imagine the look on their faces when you bring out a Leviathan II!
Remember, Iron Wind Metals offices will be closed for a few days before and after GenCon to prep and recover from the wild weekend of gaming and talking to all the fans of IWM miniatures.

It's sad to report that Harbinger Magazine is no longer in production. We here at IWM offer our thanks to Harbiner for all the fine work that they had done on the magazine over its runtime. Thanks Mark and Jamie!

To All, Dennis Mize ...
My now I'm sure that the word has spread and most people in the industry have heard about the passing of Dennis Mize. There is no need here for me to talk about his enormous talent or his legacy to the miniatures world – there is nothing that I can say that his work doesn't already make abundantly clear. We have lost one of our greatest talents, enough said...
Dennis was much more than just a great sculptor. He was a man of great whit and intelligence. A great artist and cartoonist, and an endlessly amusing person to game with. Although various obligations on my time have curtailed my gaming in recent years, many of my fondest memories are of sitting up well into the night, laughing till in hurt, gaming with Dennis.
Even more than that, he was an elder member of the family that we call Iron Wind. Not the company, the group that the company was named for. A loose gathering of family and friends who make up our private medieval recreation group called Clan Iron Wind. We have been gathering to fight, party, drum and dance around bonfires, and generally act like big kids for almost two decades. In that time, we've seen marriages and divorces, great times and terrible tragedies, births and deaths. We had seen three members pass on – and now it's four. In the days to come, we'll gather and send him off properly, but for now... Rest in piece our brother – you are loved, honored, and remembered...
